Creating events on the CMS (External Content)

Event - a specific sports game, match, competition or event that is scheduled to be recorded, or that has already been recorded, and can be managed within the Pixellot CMS.

Log in to the Pixellot CMS by going to https://club.pixellot.tv/ and using your login details.
Click on the events tab- on the left hand side- and then the plus sign on the bottom right. This will take you to an events creation page which you will fill in based on your event's details.

GENERAL

Name	Your project should have a standardised naming convention.
Club	The club under which you want your event to be grouped
External Content Checkbox	Once you have selected your club, a check box for “external content” will appear and must be checked.

If this check box does not appear, please send an e-mail to support@itvafrica.net.

Region

Select the server you are going to be streaming on.

For back-to-back events, you will need to alternate between servers in order to give the server time to process the last event and initialize before the next one

Sport Type

The sport type of the event. When the event is not a sports event, you will select "Other" as the sports type.

Game Type

Always game

The start date will be the date of your event.

The start time will be the time you want your system to start streaming the event.

The end date will be the date of your event.

The end time will be the time you want your system to stop streaming the event.

Auto Production	Auto Camera (this will not affect your external content stream)
Number of Players (soccer only)	11 x 11

You select the home and away team based on your fixture information.

OTT SETTINGS

Event Description

Under Categories, click the button “add categories”.

Main Category	The main category under which the event will be stored on the OTT
Sub Categories	The sub category under which the event will be stored on the OTT

It is possible to categorise an event under more than one main and sub category.

Select "sportVot"

SPONSOR'S BANNERS (leave out)

Select Save to finish creating your event.

Select Save and new if you creating back-to-back fixtures under the same club. This will autofill some of the information for you for your next fixture.

Once a fixture has been created, the name, dates, times, teams and categories can be edited up to 10 minutes before the start of the event. The event end time can be edited up to 1 minute before the end of the event. After the event is completed, the name, teams and categories can still be edited by accessing the event VOD (Video on Demand). The event can be edited by clicking on the pencil button on the right-hand side of the event.
