Sometimes the sporting action only takes place on half of the designated field. This typically happens when younger age groups play mini-games, or during shootouts/strokes (hockey) or penalties (soccer). It may also occur during an awards ceremony held at the center of the field. In these cases, the AI Sport Africa Support Team will add PRESETS to the camera. Presets override AutoProduction/AutoTracking and allow the system to focus on a specific section of the field.
You select the section to focus on by choosing a preset through the Manual Scoreboard.
The most important thing to remember is that preset selection is based on the orientation of the CHU. Therefore, it is best to sit on the same side as the CHU so that your left and right align with the CHU’s perspective. This ensures that selecting “right” or “left” corresponds correctly to the field’s sides.
To access the manual scoreboard you:
- Find your event and click on the edit “pencil” button.
- You then scroll down to the bottom of the Graphics section where you will find the Manual Scoreboard Link.
- You copy the link- using the copy button- and paste it in a new web tab. The Manual Scoreboard will load.
Note: You only use the manual scoreboard to select the preset. You continue to score using the usual Advance GFX scoring link.
- At the bottom of the Manual Scoreboard, you select the preset you are going to use. You will be asked if you are sure about your chosen preset – you click “ok”.
- If you need the AutoProduction/AutoTracking to be enabled again, you need to re-select AP. This is only necessary when a penalty takes place during game play.
